Savannah's weekend St. Patrick's Day celebration turned from emerald green to pitch black late Saturday as the city lost power, plunging the downtown party into darkness as thousands roamed the streets. Would this scare you? lights went off during thunderstorm about 10pm went on about i am Sunday!

I would have been more than a little concerned for my safety. A blackout during a parade with thousands of people sounds like a playground for pick pocketers and rapists.

Yes, to be in public as a part of a parade with the high likelihood of drunk people around. Yes, that would scare me. But what do you do when you are surrounded by strangers and the lights go off? hide?

Yes this would scare me to no end. That is a bad situation even without the parade let alone having all those people there and all the lights go out. Not only could you have a panic on your hands and people getting hurt via that you also have those that would take advantage of it to hurt others. I just hope everyone got through it safely and I'm really glad I wasn't there.
