If Someone Snaps At You  

Oh I snap right back at them, then they are like "oh i'm sorry did I snap at you"? Yes you did & I don't appreciate it one bit..hehe..I hate when people do that to me for no good reason...Lori

It depends a bit, but in general I think there is never a reason to snap at anyone. If you are unhappy with me there are other more constructive ways of letting me know. I think I will usually say that I find the behaviour unacceptable. I will remove myself if that does not help

Good question. Someone snapped at me this morning in work! I had been working all night and they only came on duty at 9 and well when i went to speak to them they started moaning and complaining and snapping at me. Normally in this case I would snap back but I just stuck up for myself and walked away calmly, I mean if I had snapped back it would have been a full scale riot, and I think the girl was stressed out enough. Plus I was also finishing my shift and she was only starting, perhaps if it had been the other way around I may have snapped back in defence.

In alot of cases it does depend who snaps at you, if its the boss I tend to bite my tongue alot more whereas if it is another junior member of staff I would snap back. I am more likely to snap when I am tired, stressed out or worried about something.

There are a couple of things it depends on. I do try not to snap back at anyone but sometimes it is a automatic reaction. One of the things for me is if I know the person. If I know them than I also know what is going on in their family life and if they are having a rough time of it than I would just shrug it off as their problems at home have flowed to me. But in most cases I just try to fluff it off and let it roll of my back.

it is a habit of mine that I snap right back. I try to let things go when I can. Some times you can't do that. It has to be dealt with at that point.

Most of the time I automatically snap back. And yes, it does depend on who snaps at me! I think the only way I would hold my tongue would be if it was someone who was mentally deficient or elderly. Other than that, though, no, I'm coming back at you! lol

Yes, I can tend to be very defensive and my coping mechanism is automatically to bite back without thinking about things first. Most of the time, I will bite first and reflect later. But from bad relationships have gotten in the habit of defending myself before I give thought to the entire situation.

It upsets me a great deal when I am snapped at or shouted at, and if its my husband that does it, I get really upset and I will sulk for the longest time. Its funny because I have always hated being shouted at or told off.
