When i was young i wanted to be a clam breeder. there is a big demand for seafood on the continent and exporting clams can bring in hugh rewards. but i was unsuccessful at setting the mood, maybe the wrong lighting or background music, whatever i had to abandon my clam dreams. my careers teacher suggested i join clown school as this was all i was good for. i felt pretty bad as i did have size 17 feet which would have fitted in well. these were great for swimming and i did have a promising swimming career that was sadly cut short by an septic ingrown toenail. Have you achieved your dream job? are you an astronaut or a train driver?

Good question axle, it is funny ever since year one, I have always wanted to be a teacher. On the back of my year one report card it asks what do you want to be when you grow up and I wrote teacher. I remember thinking in my year one class, I can't wait to mark the roll when I am a teacher, lol. I also could not wait to be a teacher so I could give everyone stickers. Which is very funny as now that I am a teacher, marking the roll does not really phase me and marking books can become very tiresome. However I am glad that I am in my dream job, I love teaching and it has always been a passion of mine from a young age.

Hello axle_shockhits!:-) I am sorry you couldn't pursue your dream career because of ingrown toenail, the septic one! Has axle had any share in the affair!? I wanted more than a couple of things as career when a youngster, one more than others though. And yes, my current career is such that I got almost all I wanted for a career!:-)

I am not an astronaut or something .. but i wanted to become a magician and a martial artist ... both are unrecognized as career's and so i had to give up due to my family members force. but i gave two successful magic shows in my college. And i do practice martial in my spare time so i kept them both as hobbies now and now going to the MCSE (networking) field. Actually my interested changed changed greatly after i joined my btech ... before that i had them as hobbies only .. but took them seriosly in btech.

Actually as a child I always did want to drive a train, the thought of taking people to work or down to the seaside filled me with enthusiasm, to be responsible for the safety of all my passengers, making sure they arrived on time and being able to tell them what stations we were stopping at! As a child I would have hours of fun with my train set and drawing train maps and travelling by train. I missed out on the steam trains, it was electric when I was a child. Sadly it never happened for me the closest I got was giving out train information over the phone not the same is it!
