stress causing so many problems, heart disease, cancer and stroke, depression, anxiety, asthma, rheumatoid arthritis, and gastrointestinal problems, such as irritable bowel syndrome. Much of these things have a stress factor involved, here are some ways to relieve stress and keep you healthier 1 - Often angry or irritated? Consider the weight of cognitive distortions. Are you magnifying a problem or leaping to negative conclusions without checking to see if they have any foundation in fact? Take the time to stop, breathe, reflect, and choose. 2- Not sure of your ability to do something? don't try it alone, reduce stress by asking for help from a family member, friend, co-worker, get books, tapes, google on the net, find out all the how to resources available to you. 3- Too much to do and overextended? Sit back, take a look all the things you have to do and prioritize, choose the things that must be done now, leave the rest for later. 4- Feeling nervous or tense? - Try massage, a hot bath, mini-relaxations, progressive muscle relaxation, or a mindful walk. Practically any exercise — a brisk walk, a quick run, a sprint up and down the stairs — will help, too. Done regularly, exercise wards off tension, as do relaxation response techniques. 5- Upset by conflicts with others? State your needs or distress directly, avoiding “you always” or “you never” zingers. Say, “I feel ________when you _____.” “I would really appreciate it if you could ______.” “I need some help setting priorities. What needs to be done first and what should I tackle later?” If conflicts are a significant source of distress for you, consider taking a class on assertiveness training.

Stress grabs me by the throat every day no matter how hard I try to change things. Something always happens daily. We do not have insurance, nor can we afford to do see any kind of specialist for it. We just work hard every day to try to overcome alot of it. All of my days are filled with priorities already.
