Do you have old cell phones laying around your house?

I have a couple of old cell phones and now have the one that was my Moms but I won't part with that one. I can't help but wonder why nobody responded to my discussion about the cell phone recycling program that gets calling cards sent to our soldiers overseas. I hope at least someone read it! It's so easy to do...all you have to do is print out the mailing label, put the phone in a box and either leave it for your mailman or put it in a mailbox. They pay the postage!
Do you have any old cell phones? What do you do with your old one when you buy a new one?

I don't have any old ones at the moment ctry! Not a bad idea to send it to soldiers overseas. It there any way you can get everything wiped properly before sending it off?

I think one can wipe them clean themselves as long as they still have the instruction manual that shows how to do this. I do not know if the 2 I have have been erased but I am sending them off anyhow Saturday or Monday. I've printed my label a few minutes ago.

Good for you Grandpa Bob. I think it's a great cause and I doubt that many people know about it either.

I don't remember getting your post about the cell phones, though I am aware of this program, and there is also another one for battered women, where they give these abused women the cell phones so if they need help they have a way of calling. I think this is a great idea for old cells, and both of these programs are very worty causes.

I only have one cell phone at a time. When ever my contract is up and I get a new phone when I resign another contract I give them the old one back and they have a way that they recycle it, I assume. It is a big company so I would hope so. But I am sure there are a lot of old cell phones out there laying around. I see some people give their old ones to their kids to play with, as toy phones. I like the idea that you are presenting us with. I will have to keep this in mind if I need to know what to do with some old ones. Thanks for the information.
