It seems that we all love Fudgesicles. I know I do. They are very expensive to purchase though. I have found a way to make your own and save that hard earned money. It is simple and very frugal. The kids will love help make them and they will love eating them. Read through all the recipes below and you will soon see the process. If you just skim the recipes - you will be confused. :)
Magic Mix
4 cups instant (2 1/3 non-instant) dry milk
1 cup flour or 1/2 cup cornstarch 1 cup (2 sticks) margarine
Combine dry milk, flour, and margarine into a large bowl and mix until it looks like cornmeal. Keep mix tightly covered in the refrigerator. (Makes 5 cups Magic Mix.)
Pudding
Makes 4 1/2 cup servings
1/2 cup sugar 2-3 tbsp. cocoa (optional)
1 cup Magic Mix 2 cups water
1 tsp. vanilla
Combine Magic Mix, sugar, and cocoa in saucepan and mix well. Add water, stir over medium heat until pudding bubbles. Add vanilla and beat. Cover and cool.
Fudgesicles
1 pudding recipe (see above) 1/2 cup milk
Prepare pudding according to directions. Stir in milk and beat until smooth. Pour mixture into ice cube trays or small plastic cups. Insert plastic spoon and freeze until solid.
Now you are ready for all kinds of great treats with these recipes. Enjoy and save lots of money.

Definately going to try these! Fudge Pops are one of my favorite snacks, and I don't buy them often because of the expense. My grandbabies are 2 and 4 now. They will love these treats especially since they use pudding! Zane has never met a chocolate pudding dessert of any kind...that he didn't like.

These are all good ideas! I wonder what else you make out of this magic mix. I have never heard of it. I am always looking for ideas for snacks for the kids as they like to share with all the neighborhood kids and it can get expensive. Thanks for the tips!!

I'll be filing this one away for summer. Thanks for sharing it. I'm always looking for things to share with the home economics group at school too. They will love this one. I am a sucker for ice cream.
