How can Ron Paul supporter support Obama or Clinton |
|
I do not understand how people who supported a Libertarian Repbulican, that believes in small government, would support HUGH government candidates. I have read one too many discussion on this matter. Ron Paul supporter saying that they will vote for Obama or Clinton. How can people say that they will vote for someone that supports tax cuts, and then turn around and vote for someone that will raise taxes. Will anyone answer my question.

What he oughtta do is slap 'em with the RICO Act for trying to rig another election via the media. If this is not their reason for flip-flopping, please elaborate, for I am confused. ...besides, I'm interested in hearing their answers for that big of a flip flop anyway. Don't they know Nader is also running? Even IF Dr. Paul bails, I don't think he will, Ralph Nader is way better than the likes of the so-called "front runners."

I wasn't sure Nader was able to get his name on the ballot, it was said he wasn't able to run for the green party. I'm wondering if Hillary or Obama loosing the nomination will get themselves on the ballot as an 'idependent' party somehow. Mooch

2. lilwonders123 (1252) | 7 months ago | Well you know Dr. Ron Paul has NOT pulled out of the race yet. But you have a point. I support Dr. Paul. Voted for him in my state's primary. Now it looks like I am facing having to vote for either McCain, Obama or Hillary. How the heck am I suppost to vote for one of them? They do not stand for anything I believe. I am hoping that Dr. Paul can be convienced to make a third party run. I know he said he did not want to make a third party run, but his country needs him. He needs to run, even if it is as a third party.

3. Fishmomma (3323) | 7 months ago | Ron Paul turned in signatures to be on the Montana Primary Ballot. He is still in the race, so his supporters should vote for him. I can't speak on what others not posting on this topic are thinking, since I'm not sure why they made this statement.

4. Taskr36 (2381) | 7 months ago | I haven't seen anything backing up what you said, but I would assume that such people are part of the anti-Bush crowd. Some people act as though Bush is running for president again so they feel the need to vote democrat. They subscribe to the belief that all republicans are the same even though many republicans don't even consider John McCain to be a "real" republican. I would guess that most Ron Paul supporters are a bit more educated than the average voter and would probably study the issues of the candidates if he dropped out and choose the one that worked best for them. The less educated supporters are likely to be the ones that just hate the two-party system and refuse to buy into it. Those people would just go to the next most popular third party candidate.

lilwonders123 (1252) | 7 months ago | I hear you. But I am really having a hard time with this one. I do not like any of the front runners. I was really hoping that Dr. Paul would some how pull out a win. But being a realist I know he won't. Which leaves me kinda lost. NONE of the front runners represent what I believe or want. I am SICK AND TIRED of voting for the lesser of the evils. But here I am, stuck in that situation once again.

5. bravenewworld (344) | 7 months ago | I'm guessing that for these people foreign policy, and the Iraq war in particular, is the main issue. And the Dems are more in line with Ron Paul. McCain seems to be the complete opposite of Ron Paul with regards foreign policy.

7. oneandonemakesix (24154) | 7 months ago | Hey Ge, I don't know what is going on with Ron Paul's thinking but I think as someone who is against the war, I have to think that he is trying to choose the lesser of 3 evils. As someone who doesn't know if I can conscientously vote for McCain(and yes I am registered as a 'republican') but on the same hand I don't like Obama or Hillary, so what is the lesser of the 3 evils? I think that's how this election is going ot come into play. Mooch
