Carnie Wilson: The Saga Continues

I saw an interview with singer Carnie Wilson this morning on Good Morning America, and, yes, she has seriously fallen off the wagon when it comes to eating. My problem with her is that she came on the show to complain about the tabloids hounding her about her weight gain. After undergoing bypass surgery to lose the weight she did snare a husband, had a baby, and proceeded to begin the cycle all over again. Why is she complaining? Could it be because she is a paid spokesperson who counsels people about losing weight; or maybe it is the fact that she was on this same show a couple of years ago showing off her culinary skills by making sinfully rich dishes? In my opinion she has no right to complain when she has clearly done all the wrong things if she wanted to maintain a healthy weight. The fact that she has allowed her weight to balloon up to more than 200 pounds is nobody's fault but her own. So, do you think she should stop complaining about the press hounding her and get back on track? That is what I think she should do.

That is the sad part of this surgery. Many have it done to lose the weight, and think that it is gone forever. Unfortunately they have not dealt with the demons that got them that way in the first place and many regain the weight.

I have seen this happen, Elusive, and it is a psychological as well as physical problem.

They (the doctors) told us before we had the surgery that the gastric bypass was a *tool* for our weight maintenance.
If you put yourself in the limelight by being a celebrity you should have to take it as it comes.

Absolutely right, sherrir, and Carnie admitted that she didn't put forth the effort that was needed to make her weight loss successful.

Well the saga is still going on! She conitines to fall off the wagon and looked into another quick fix to lose weight, once again! Before that she was on "Dr.Oz" I thought she had her on the right track but she gave up!With a lap band she had put on her stomach this year is a joke! I can't believe a doctor would do this! Carnie has a big, big, problem with food and needs to see a therapist to get over her food demons! I can't see the lap band being the awnser! Somewhere down the line this weight lose surgery will back fire on her beacause of her addiction! It also sounds like Chyna Phillps and Carnie's sister wweren't very supportive of this surgery either! What I have heard about Carnie's husband is he doesn't seem to be very supportive or is at all of her for whatever she does! I hope someday Carnie gets her act together! If not this could destroy her family and all her friendships!
