Film Or Digital?

When you first got interested in photography, was it film or digital? If it was film, have you now made the switch over to digital, do you stick with film, or do you do both? Or if it was digital, have you stuck exclusively with digital photography or have you explored film photography as well?
I first got interested in photography using a digital medium. Though I've had film cameras my whole life, I was never really interested in the art of photography and only used them to take snapshots of friends and family.
It wasn't until I got my first digital camera that I developed an interest in photography.
Though I mainly shoot digital, I am very interested in film. I have a few 35mm cameras, but I'd really like to get a medium format camera and a large format camera and experiment with those.
There are different things I like about both film and digital photography.
So what about you? What did you start out with? What do you use now?

Ever since the digital cameras became available at cheaper prices, my life has changed like anything. Since film cameras were cumbersome and too clumsy for maintenance and for viewing on computer i had to fore go so many photo opportunities. Come digital cams, its a totally different game altogether.

When I first got into photography and started taking classes for it, I went out and bought a really nice Nikon film camera. I loved it, but not being able to see the images before they were developed was killing me. Now I'm a digital addict. The only time I use film now is for my Lomography Fisheye camera and my Pop Art camera. It's so much better digital because I don't have so many ugly blurry photos that came out when I got my film developed, now I just get what I want printed.

I started with a film camera. It belonged to my father. That was my first camera. I think I did pretty well. The pictures cames out great. I bought my first film camera a few years after that. It was the first film camera with a 'zoom' function.
Now I own a few digital cameras. As I like to take pictures of the nature and insects like butterflies, I prefer point and shot cameras with great 'zoom' functions.

I started off with a 35mm Canon Rebel and I still have it today. I love the shots that I am able to get with it. I am looking into getting the Canon Rebel XTI, which is the digital version. It will probably cost me about $1,000 to get the camera with a lens kit.
I know that when I make the switch to digital, I will keep the 35mm and use it. I think the quality of digital is getting higher everyday, but you just can't beat the quality of a film camera.

Right now I use film because I can't afford to buy a digital camera. I would love to have one so I can save money on developing film.
