It's one thing to deal with your own physical pain, but when the man you love has chornic pain and is constantly moaning and groaning, it gets hard to take. I feel so bad for him and alot of times don't know what I can do for him excpet make him comfortable and do things for him. Does anyone else know any good ways to help someone they love deal with their pain?

I'm not really sure other than to try to make them as comfortable as you can. I used to take care of my stepfather after he had a brainstem hemorage and a stroke that left him paralyzed. He could do nothing for himeself any longer. We also had to feed him through a g-tube. There was nothing we could do other than to be there for him and make him comfortable. It is very hard on them and super hard on us to take, but we make it through it. Best wishes for you both!

Thanks so much. Your dad is lucky he had you to take care of him. I can't imagine how much work that could be. It's hard for me since I have my days with my own physical problems, but we muddle through it! Hugs!

my hubby is the same way as you...i am in constant physical pain due to severe arthritis and sometimes find it hard to get around and because of that, my hubby always says he wishes he would help me or do more for me...
