Do you have a different parenting style that your mom's (or dad's)? Please share!
For me, I basically grew up glued to the tv. I do not want my child to be like that! Also I really want to help my child develop friendships. I also will have him in a few activities such as piano lessons, and will encourage him to play sports. (Don't worry I won't force him - I won't be a psycho soccer mom!)
Also, I honestly cannot remember my mother ever reading me a book! I'm sure she did, I can remember having lots of books, but I don't remember her reading me one! I plan to read to my child at least 1 story before bedtime until he is like 10 years old at least.
Looking forward to hearing some responses!

No i do a lot of what my parents did with me, with my children. I think I was lucky and had a really great childhood, I want that for my girls too one thing I always remember is my mum having time to help us with homework and such like, I hope I can always help my girls like that.
Mostly though she was supportive in everything we wanted to do as such we made our choices and ok we made mistakes but im the person I am because of them I hope I can be there to help my girls grow up into happy adults like I am now.
