Has anyone used alcohol inks in the stamping or scrapbooking? I know that they are a permenant ink and the colors look pretty vivid on examples I've seen. I was also wondering if you can use it on metal? I haven't tried it myself and want to learn a little bit more about them before I buy some and try them out.

When you do use them, let me know how it worked for you.

No I have never used these, but they sound interesting. I am not really into stamping though...just scrapbooking, and when I scrapbook I don't use stamps.

I like to use the stamps as an accent or for borders. I would find a friend that has some for you to try out so you don't have to buy your own.

yes I have! I think the brand i use is called Stazon. I have it in white and black. the great part is that you can use it on photos and it's acid free and archival safe.
I have tried the black version and it stamps on pretty well. but not tried the white one yet. i think they are more expensive than the usual pigment inks. and you need a special cleaner to get the inks off the stamps (unless you don' tmind permanentnly stained stamps). my cleaner is called stazon cleaner. and it works wonders on my clear stamps so far.

I haven't used stamps yet, but I would like to at some point. I think they would add to my pages and make a nice accent sometimes, but I never know which ones to buy. I think i'll just keep my eyes open for something that jumps out at me.

Rubber stamping is fun! It's also another thing I have noticed that I tend to collect. LOL. They can be expensive. A good way to find them is at yard sales and on ebay.

I use to use rubber stamping for a lot of my scrap booking pages. I kept them organized in a fishing tackle box, but ended up selling them when I first returned to my parents house. I sold them at a steal for $15!! I miss having them now, and it will take me a long time to replace what I had.
