When you see a mosquito, do you try and kill it?

Well your topic was about smacking and killing them, so that's mainly what I meant.

I don't use chemicals, but I did use citronella candles and plant based repellants.

Do you really see them dead on the floor near where you placed those or they just repel mosquitos away?

They repel only. I don't know of anything that kills them outright (other than heavy duty chemical pesticides).

I sometimes get into such a pose, like those who do t'ai chi, or that chinese martial art and system of callisthenics, consisting of sequences of very slow controlled movements, and then suddenly clapping my hands too loud..

I'll just realize later that others are oddly looking at me

Ah yes.. sometimes, such mosquito nets could be as big as the very bed we sleep on.

Others would install fine wire mesh on their windows.

We once had that when I was still small and my brother had a very old one which I often heard them call a mosquitero
