I loved reading that story to my daughter all of the time when she was younger and she loved it too. Now that the movie is out my daughter and my nephew have been after me and begging me to take them to go see the movie. Have you gone to see it with your kids or even by yourself. What did you think of it? What did the kids think of it?

We all want to watch it but with the movie prices now, we will just wait till it comes out on dvd and rent it. My daughter and I love Dr. Seuss.

My daughter's b-day isn't till May 22. IF the movie is still in theaters then, I just might take her. Would be heck of alot cheaper than a b-day party she's been pestering for for last few years.

No I haven't taken my kids to see this yet and mostly likely won't. The prices of movie tickets have just gotten to be too much. My local library normally gets all the new movies when they come out on DVD. So I will most likely wait until the library gets it and then go check it out for free. I know it's not the same as watching it in the movie theater. But with rising gas prices, I have to save money any way I can.

My husband took our daughter and my niece to see "Horton". The girls absolutely loved this movie. My husband who usually hates this type of movie said that it wasn't bad at all.
I have to agree with everyone else about it being costly to take children to a movie theater but I like to take the children as a treat every once in a great while to let the children know that no good behavior goes unnoticed.

You have a great point there about rewarding your kids every once in a while. My daughter had an excetional report card and has worked really hard in school this year so I agree that she should be rewarded. That will cover her reward and my nephews b-day all in one swoop.

I took my 3 sons to see it on opening day. My sons are 7, 7 and almost 9, and they enjoyed the movie. Myself, I wouldn't want to see it again.
The computer animation is INCREDIBLE, and the story is cute, but unlike most kids movies I've seen, it didn't leave me with the wow factor, nor were there as many jokes for the adults. I guess I'm spoiled with the Disney movies, and how they seem to cater to all audiences.
I spent the entire movie trying to figure out who the voice was of the mama kangaroo. It drove me NUTS! That may have contributed to my impression of the movie as well. lol. I kept on thinking it was either Laurie Metcalf (Jackie from Roseanne) or Joan Cusack. I was wrong on both accounts. It was Carol Burnett. I KNEW I knew the voice!!!

I have not yet-- but my daughter also has been bugging me to go see it- so we might go this weekend. it looks cute- I really thought that she would think she was too old for the movie- she is 11- but she wants to see it . LOL
I bet it's great- I read wonderful reviews.

no we haven't see it. i think my kids would love to go see it but with the cost of it and with 5 of us in our family we just can't afford to right now. my sis in law has it and said she would bring it over so i can't wait to see it but normally the movies she gets are not that good to watch.

I have to get the book from the library as my son wants it after seeing the movie. It was a fun flick and most enjoyable, even my husband said so considering he hardly goes to children's flicks.

No, I have not taken my children to see it, even though I would like to. I think maybe on a sunday within the next week or two I will take them to see it when we can watch a movie for just a few dollars. If we go any other time, the tickets are just too expensive and not to mention gas prices on top of that. But I think that it does look like a cute movie and I can't wait to watch it with my kids.

I have not taken my kids to see it yet. My daughter is only 14 months old. I think she might be too young to enjoy it. My 8 year old and I were going to go this past Sunday, but he opted for a different movie instead. I will probably wait until it comes out on DVD now.

I got the book for my daughter years ago and we read it all the time. She would always giggle because i had voices I'd make for each little character in the book. So, that's why we want to see it. She just used my nephews b-day as a selling point for me, LOL!
