Do you learn KOREAN LANGUAGE from KOREAN DRAMA? |
| |
| For me, yes. I can learn even simple conversation like anyeonghaseyo... anyeong hasimnikka... mianhamnida... etc. I think i learn many words here, the informal and formal language. Sometimes, i can understand what the actors and actress talking without its subtitle... Thats happened when i watch japanese drama and taiwanese drama. I learned a lot how to pronounce the words!!! hehehe... | | | | | |

| | It seems that you are very interested in Korean series. That's great that you can learn some Korean from it. Learning is always a good thing. I am not interested in watching Korean series. I like English programs much more. | | | | | | |

| | That is neat. How did you actually learn the words and know what they meant though? I only know English and I cannot figure out what any other language means. My husband can speak some other languages though because he spent 17 years in the Army and traeled to other countries. | | | | | | |

| | I know a few Korean words that I learned from my Korean students in the past and while watching their dramas, I get a confirmation that what they taught me was correct. There are also words that you will learn by referring to the English subtitles alone and you get to memorize them by repeated hearing. | | | | | | |

| | wah, so you are a teacher? what subject you teach them? yeah, i am really agree that to learn foreign languages need memorizing, repeating, and practicing. Its the same way i learn my filipino subject. Its difficult, since im not a filipino, but i really wanna learn it, just like what im doing for languages like japanese, korean, and taiwanese. i do watch some filipino movies. I really like movie close to you and dubai. i like the actor there, if im not wrong, john lloyd. nice movies. | | | |

| | I'm majoring in Korean, and we learn Korean by movies and drama. Well.it's a good way to learn Korean in this way, as you can comunicate with Korean people in a short time, but if you want master the language, you have to learn more, for example, read some books.Because the words in the drama are so limited. Of course you dom't have to do this,,but for me I have no choice. | | | | | | |

| | wah, full house is one of my favorite dramas. yeah, rain was so cute and handsome here, and song hye kyo also beautiful actress. i really love this drama, and i even download its ost with korean lyrics. I found its really really difficult because the pronunciation in korean romanization also difficult to read. Have you seen any korean romanization lyrics? Its not in korean letters, but in alphabet abcd. At first, i never stop to laugh, because the lyrics sounds so weird. but when i know already how to read it without feeling weird, just learn other languages, i found its not that difficult anymore. I even can sing some korean songs like tvxq and super junior songs and memorize some ost korean movies and dramas. Hahha... i already learn many words. Thats also the same for taiwanese and japanese... the more i watch the drama and movies, i can learn how to distinguish their accents- korean accents is like singing with variety tones, japanese for me is like whispering and the tone sounds straight, taiwanese is sounds loud and a little rough... my fave japanese dramas are hana yori dango, boku dake no madonna~~hideaki takizawa, gokusen, and aizawa. have a nice day! | | | |

| | I watch so much of j-drama and k-drama but still only learn a little. I can understand a word or two. But when they start to speak rapidly and fast, they lost me. :D But I do learn alot from watching Mandarin and English movies. I pretty much can watch both type of movies without any subtitle. | | | | | | |
