beauty or brain?

i also prefer to have intelligent than beauty. in fact, beauty could be made by using proper make up while intelligent could not make by anything cause its already GOD giving to human. its hard to find many people who has beauty and intelligent most of the beauty people (just in my subjective opinion) not too smat enough

yeah, i prefer brains than beauty, especially for the girls. she may not look so cool but i appreciate and respect them more, if they have intelligence. although intelligent girl is very particulate in terms of choosing their partners, beauty however, should go hand in hand with the brain, as the other comments say.

My answer is the same as the first! I think, if I had to choose one, it would defintely be intelligence. Although, it would be interesting to know what it's like to be stupid. I could think of advantages like the fact that I wouldn't get bored so easily because I'd think getting drunk was the best entertainment in the world and I'd never have any ambition or intention to do anything more productive! The thing about beauty and intelligence is that if you are physically attractive but without intelligence, that is all you have. It's good in a way because oftentimes, looks are all you need. However, having intelligence can get you what you want and can also lend itself to enhancing physical features. Now I'm complicating myself, it's getting late so I will end by saying that my choice (if it were a choice) would certainly be intelligence. I honestly would not like to be like some of the pretty air-heads I know! Although some of those air-heads appear to have neither brains nor beauty and, of course "beauty is in the eye of the beholder" and "beauty comes from within" so either way, the way an intelligent person looks would really not matter as they would have other positive attributes. I don't know if this has all made sense because I'm falling asleep typing it!

Hehe.. good one! I already have both..lol. If I may enhance, I will...intelligence. Then, using my super-natural intelligence, I will carve ways out to make myself appear much more beautiful. Don't call me greedy, I'm just harnessing your offer!

Beauty is only skin deep and will fade with years.Intelligence is something you will need to get through the world.I much prefer the brain over the beauty of the skin.

My husband and I were discussing this the other day only the question was beautiful and stupid or intelligent and ugly. My answer is different from most people - I would rather be beautiful and stupid - because I've never met a dumb person that knew they were dumb, therefore you would be happy. But if you're intelligent, you would know you were ugly and be unhappy. I'll choose happiness any day of the week. (and yes beauty does fade, but you'd still be so dumb you wouldn't know how stupid you are - LOL).

To be intelligent is better. It is more useful when it comes to survival. If someone is intelligent, she can also make herself appealing like a physically beautiful person by demonstrating wit. It's not easy to be beautiful as it is not simple to be intelligent but with the technology and cosmetic age we have, beauty can be achieved in some degree but intelligence is more likely a permanent thing. Some knowledge can be acquired thru serious efforts though.

I'd go with brains anyday. And besides beauty can be bought, but intelligence...you just can't put a price on.

i like to think i have both...lol...but i suppose brains gets you further but i cant get alot by fluttering my eyes lashes too..ha ha....seriously brains because when some one speak with intelligence its beautiful...x

i choose to be intelligent i don't see other advantages of being beautiful other than many men will court you( and i never like that) while being intelligent is a great factor of being successful and until your last days intelligence will never fade but beauty will fade at least at your 40s you won't be able to use it for long.

Definately intelligent! Being beautiful is great,however, being intelligent is excellent! If one is beautiful, he/she may look pretty; but if one is intelligent, then he/she must be charming!

I think it is very easy for me to choose.Of course,I will choose to be intelligent.I can do many things and get success if I am very intelligent.I will earn lots of money,I can buy anything I like.I also find a girl friend easily.So to be intelligent is wiseome.Many modern things are made by intelligence,and the development of the world also depend on intelligence.Don't you think so?

No need to choose. LOL Seriously, I believe one can be beautiful just by being intelligent. If beauty is to be defined as how a person attracts another, I know people who are not good-looking physically but are very charming and very sincere, thus beautiful. They use their intelligence and their sensitivity to reach out to other people I guess, beauty is about character too. But of course, there are cases wherein intelligence, in terms of IQ, prevents one from being socially competent. Thus, we have the geeks and the dorks. (I did not include nerds here because nerds are intellectual and socially competent people.) But one is not necessarily intelligent when one is beautiful. Case in point, Paris Hilton. If we were talking about the physique and just the physique, I can consider here beautiful. But beyond that, she's always making a fool of herself. There's no other word for that except stupidity.
