Joining in a school |
| |
| Yesterday, I had a terrific experience of waiting in a queue which is 1 km long outside a school for literally 5 hrs on the footpath to give my sons details to find out his eligibility for joining the school for prekindergarden. What is the procedure for the same in your respective states/countries? | | | | | |

| | yes here it is the same. u have to stand in queue for the forms , then they take ur child's interview & if he passes then he gets the admission. Sometimes u also end paying up a huge amount ~pinks~ | | | | | | |

| | I live in the U.S. and it's a little bit different here, depending on where you live and if you're registering for a private school or a public school. I've never heard of a line 1 km long, however I have heard of people having to wait for a long time because some registration processes can be ridiculous. Private schools are much easier to register with because there usually isn't a specific date you have to register on. Public schools are different. Registration is usually on a specific date and there is a flood of people, but never enough to make that long of a line. | | | | | | |

| | Goodness, I would never bother with such a school (whatever the reputation). I prefer my son to be in a relaxed atmosphere than a school which is so much in demand. I would never bother to stand in a queue that long for my child's admission. Anyways, the school that my son (now sons) are in....have a first come first serve basis....and I've never seen a queue there. Anyone can come and pick up a form and ask details......if admission is full already, the parents are informed and they can apply the next year. I am teaching at the kindergarten in their school...and the admissions for the next academic year are already full. I'd rather my kids stay home in kindergarten than queue up for admission. Maybe I am one in a few...but that's the way it is. | | | | | | |

| | Hi. vsraovsr. When I register my child into school, there is usually not a long line. When I go into the school to register my kids, it is hardly any other parent that is there like that. I think that when a parent goes to register their child to school and the lines are very long, this must be on an specific registration date that they have for the students to become registered into school. On this date especially, the lines can be a bit longer then. | | | | | | |
