Kids wasting time on YouTube?

My son spends hours and hours watching videos on YouTube, mainly videos about muscle cars. I thought he was bad, but then today he showed me a video on there of a little boy biting his brothers finger. It was called "Charlie Bit my Finger...Again!" Ok, it was kinda funny, But in the related links, there were actually remakes of it... Kids actually memorized that video and made their own making fun of it. They knew exactly what the kid said and how he cried and imitated him perfectly. Is it crazy that they spend so much time doing stupid things like that?

I think with any website it needs to be supervised. I don't see anything wrong with videos about muscle cars and he might learn useful things from that however there are some idiotic videos on there (like the one you mentioned) that are better left ignored. I think if he wants to use the site to learn things thats great but if it's just a time waster then I'd limit it. **AT PEACE WITHIN** ~~STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS~~

As long as he isn't making stupid copy cat videos I guess it's okay. When I first found YouTube, I went through a phase of watching tons of videos and wasting all sorts of time on there. Now I watch maybe 2 or 3 videos a day if that. I do still make my own videos, but that's really just to motivate me to practice music and get some feedback on my playing styles.
