Coconut milk for the hair

For deep conditioning of the hair, another good household product is fresh coconut milk. The coconut milk is applied directly on the hair and scalp. Allow to stay on for 30 minutes up to an hour before shampooing. Some people heat the coconut milk before application. This is the homemade version of the hot oil. But remember to use fresh coconut milk because I don't think that the canned coco milk will have the same effect.

I do this once a week. it is good for our hair. it makes my hair, soft and manageable. plus the fact that it can cure dandruff. this treatment will make your scalp healthy.

Sounds like it would make your hair smell reallt good! Is this good for all hair types? I am white and one time i used a coconut oil hair product that belonged to a friend of mine that is black. The cocnut oil made her hair look great, but it made my look gross and dirty becuase it weighed it down way too much.

Thanks for the tip! I heard that coconut oil works great too! But it's rather hard to find coconut oil or fresh coconut milk around here, and therefore I haven't had a chance to try the tip. But I look forward one day that I could have the chance.

I used to use a coconut shampoo many years ago and it made my hair the shiniest it has ever been but I have not been able to find it for years so now I use herbal essence which does much the same thing. I had never tried fresh coconut milk but it should do the same thing.
