Well, I didn't get ice cream, but...

Someone posted about eating ice cream in the winter. I had been craving ice cream so I asked hubby if he would go get some. He wouldn't because he didn't feel like going out again...sigh. (I can't complain I didn't feel like it either!) So, I decided to make a smoothie- I threw a banana, some frozen cherries and strawberries, vanilla soy milk and a little flax seed in to the blender. The only dwn side was had I gone to get ice cream, I'd have chocolate in it, lol. Oh well, this was quicker, easier, cheaper and much healthier for me!

That sounds good and healthy!
I need to remember that as I am on a diet and I have ice cream in the freezer, so if I want that, I have to have that as an afternoon snack so I can walk it off later.

If only I had gotten myself up and away from my computer before I hit MyLot I would have bought some ice cream which I have been craving so much but no I latched onto MyLot. Then I was sunk and am still here MyLotting away like crazy and dreaming of lucious chocolate pecan fudge ice cream. well as a diabetic thats not too good an idea anyway. You know, I was making smoothies for a while before I left NC and they really are good. I think I have some raspberries and/or strawberries left in the freezer.
Of course I have no idea where my blender is, and I have no bananas either (but you already knew that!).

hmm..sounds interesting,i will try this myself next time i don't get my hands on ice creams.but for you i will suggest you to keep it in your refrigerator to add to your shakes too.when i don't get ice cream or want to try something different i always go for fruit shakes or smoothies that i can easily prepare at home with the ingredients that are already in my fridge!!!

I've done that, too. And, it probably is a lot healthier, anyway. I would love to have some ice cream right now, too. But, if I eat it too often, then I will gain too much weight, so I will wait a couple of days before doing that.

You're right, at least it was more healthy. I was considering ice cream earlier. I had a cup of pudding and left it at that. I need to lose weight, I need to stop wanting to eat!!
