Several discussions about what makes you cry made me remember part of an old poem my dad used to recite. Laugh and the world laughs with you, weep and you weep alone. For this sorry old world : andthere I am stuck. Does anyone know the rest of this poem. I should know it but I cannot for the life of me remember the rest of it.

Hi Patsie,
Sounds a bit like spreading the cheer.
Here's a challenge for you: Go make someone laugh the next day LOL.

World is like a mirror. What we show is what we get. When we smile the world smiles at us and when we frowns the world also frowns at us. I do not know the rest of the poem or heard the poem, but I think it means that when we are happy and laugh and smiles everybody does it and when we are sad and cries most probably there would not be anyone to cry with us. I will look at the net to know more about that poem.

LAUGH, and the world laughs with you;
Weep, and you weep alone.
For the sad old earth must borrow it's mirth,
But has trouble enough of it's own.
