 We Bought A Wii And I have been looking for a Mario game we got the mario brawl but I was wanting somthing similar to the older MArio!You know the oldstlye not so much fighting lol=) and if anyone has suggestions on games to buy letme know looking for somthing i like!

1.  bochco123 (426) | 6 months ago |  I haven't played it myself, but you might want to look into "Mario Galaxy". It's the newest Mario game, and the reviews have been excellent. And the new "Smash Bros." game just came out, but that is pretty much just a fighting game. Also, if you have wi-fi for the Wii, you might want to download some of the old Mario games onto the Wii. They have Mario 1,2,3 and many more old games for different systems. You just use a credit card to purchase points, and then use the points to download the games.

| bochco123 (426) | 6 months ago | Well the Wii already has the wi-fi chip inside it. If you have a computer with internet in your house, you just have to buy a router, and then you should be able to get internet on the Wii. The router hooks into the computer, your modem hooks into the router, and then you set up your own wireless network. So lets say someone comes over to your house with a laptop. Then they could get internet from your network without hooking into anything. Hence "wireless network". And the Wii works the same way. Of course it's easier to explain in person, but I hope this helps. I'm sure someone at an electronics store can help you. Happy gaming. | |

| bochco123 (426) | 5 months ago | You shouldn't have to plug anything into the Wii to get the internet working. Your router should connect it to the internet like your laptop. Without any wires. If you still have the Wii manual, it should probably help. | |

2.  Galena (2784) | 6 months ago |  Mario Galaxy is completely fantastic. very like old mario, but 3D.
and despite being 3D the controls are very instinctive, and not tricky to steer, like Mario Sunshine on gamecube was.
if you want real old school mario, get Paper Mario. it's 2D, but you can switch to 3D to complete certain sections. it's really fun.

Mario Galaxy is by far the best game for the Wii. The graphics are the best on the Wii and the game is really fun. Lots of running around collecting things. Its a great game. What other games types do you like?
There a alot of good games for the Wii, but also alot of clunkers that are awful.

If your looking for the old style mario games then i think super paper mario would be the ideal choice or maybe you could use the wii shop channel and look for the more older games (Note that you need a wii points card which is about $20*for 2000 points*). I suggest you to get super mario galaxy it is a very good game...well more suitable for younger kids anyway.
