Yaoi, is it good?

I'm not even interested in Yaoi, but I see no harm coming from it.

Ehh. I think it's an acquired taste. You either start getting used to it to the point of liking/loving it, or you just never like the taste, ever.

I first really encountered yaoi when a friend from college brought printed pages of doujinshi she found on the net on one of our hang-outs. I had already encountered yaoi by that time since I was already aware of fanfiction then, but just as I don't go out reading fanfics about series I'm not aware of, I don't go out reading stories about pairings I'm not aware of, either (just because pairing names are written in the summaries doesn't mean I'll immediately get they're meant to be romantic... unless the summary explicitly said so). So even when I knew people pair up two hot guys because of various reasons (they're hot, they're interesting together, their yaoiholics who yaoi-ize every hot male they see), I've never really SEEN two guys being paired off.

So when I checked the pages (she told me to read it), I was surprised to the point of yelping, the pages I had in my hand flew and I bet I surprised a few onlookers if they happen to see just what was in those papers.

Well, it's been years now and I actually support a few slash pairings. Still iffy about explicit stuff, but I'm iffy about explicit stuff regardless of what it is, so it's not a matter of, "Is it because it's yaoi?" deal.

Nope >_< and I had no idea as to why. I've actually tried to read some 'good' yaoi manga a friend suggested me to, but I stopped right after the few first pages. I guess I could not stand any further than just a very mild shounen-ai (er..what's the difference between yaoi and shounen ai again? 0_0) haha.. I guess I could never bring myself to like yaoi duh...
