2. nancygibson (3031) | 2 years ago | On the whole I prefer hardback for reference books, things I will want to keep forever and refer to over and over agaian, and I prefere paperback for books that I intend to read in the bath or on the train to work. If I have a choice I'll usually go for whichever is cheapest too, so that tends to be paperbacks.

libertarianfreedom21 (988) | 2 years ago | YEs thats the same with me, well i dont have many referance books, thats more my fiances expertise. I like romance, and i usually sell them after i finish reading so thats why i usually have paperback

4. Fishmomma (3523) | 2 years ago | I prefer hardbacks, as many have larger print. I'll only buy a paperback, if its a large print book. I like to save money, but its not a savings, if I can't see the words.

5. gemini_rose (10121) | 2 years ago | I am like you, as long as the book is a good one it could be written on toilet roll for all it matters to me! I usually go for the paperback if I can though as they are a lot cheaper!

| 7. toms65 (68) | 2 years ago | I used to by only Hardcover books. They looked better on the shelf and very often they were not too big so I wasn't holding up a large book. But I read alot of Stephen King and Clive Barker. Their books, especially King, can be huge. It becomes to hard to hold in a comfortable reading position for me. Plus, I live near the beach and do a lot of reading there, so paperbacks are much more convenient. Easier to carry around from place to place.

libertarianfreedom21 (988) | 2 years ago | yes i bet they are, for me the hardback is easier when you prop it up on a pillow, but then you cant move around, when i lay on my bed to read i switch sides and its easier to read, if i were collecting books for a libary I would probally try to get all hardbacks though

10. Elixiress (2729) | 2 years ago | I am the same. I only care about the contents. I only read books once so I am no bothered about the condition they stay in.
| |
| |
libertarianfreedom21 (988) | 2 years ago | Yes i am the same, the only time i care about the condition is when im buying it and the price, like one time i got this nora roberts book that said new on ebay and it came in the mail all torn up. It made me mad b/c i spent 5 dollars on it when i could of gone to half price books and spent 1$ to 3
| |
Elixiress (2729) | 2 years ago | I agree. As long as books are readable and not in gross condition (covered in food etc) then I am happy. However I would not like to pay for what I thought was a new book and it turns out to be completely unreadable.
| |
libertarianfreedom21 (988) | 2 years ago | yea i was so POed, I left a nasty feedback, and will never buy books on Ebay again. I can get them at the book store for the same price.
| |
Elixiress (2729) | 2 years ago | Don't let one person like that put you off ebay. I am selling some books if you are interested, not on ebay though. Obviously it is your choice, but pm me if you are interested.
