It will be our first trip there, and we will also be probably taking a cruise to the Bahamas as well. However the only way I know about Florida is from watching Key Largo, Where The Boys Are, and CSI Miami, so I have no idea what to look for. We will be first going to Orlando so if there are some who live there, what are the most favorite attractions, plus the best restaurants you would recommend?

I hope we get down there. It has been delayed because my husband had a mini stroke and he cannot walk as well. So I am rather upset because we won a special tour and now we cannot take advantage of it.

Hope you have a great time! I've heard it is very beautiful in Florida, much warmer than some of the other US states.

I will really enjoy it. I can take hot weather much better than the cold. I am looking forward to it. I just hope my husband does not want to spend most of the time in the motel. I want to go for walks, rides all over the place, etc. I want to see everything there, not just watch Tv.

In the Fall is a wonderful time to visit Florida. The summertime is just too darn hot. Orlando is a big touristy area, there is so much to do. You don't say if you are going to Disney, thats the big thing in Orlando. You can always go to "Downtown Disney" its free to go there and walk around. Its an area with shops, restaurants, stuff like that. Have fun and enjoy the weather. The cruise sounds wonderful.

I would like to go to Disney, and that Downtown Disney sounds great. We also wanted to avoid hurricane season. I am I am very solidly built, but even the wind would find it easy to pick me up.

I would definitely go to Walt Disney World, there is so much to see and do for children and adults. I have been there twice and long to go again. The hottest Orlando attractions are of course, the theme parks. Walt Disney World Orlando is without a doubt the top draw in the Sunshine State, but the other local theme parks don't fare too bad either! For some local flavor, visit the Alligator Capital of the World at Gatorland. Or, stick to the more conventional theme parks like Universal Studios, SeaWorld and Discovery Cove, where you can swim with dolphins, snorkel through colorful reefs teeming with thousands of tropical fish, explore underwater shipwrecks, and grottos.
There are tons of things to do...and never enough time to do them all.
Blessed be, Mari

I would not mind going to Universal Studio. That does sound interesting.
