if your trying to transfer your songs from your i tunes to your computer what works for me is burning a cd then from the same cd transfer over to windows media or quick time. i havent found another way

i found some tricks.
one is to use datarecovery softwares easily available on net.
other is to open the i-pod through my computer and not the i-tunes.then go to your folder options and allow viewing of hidden files.you will be able to see a folder named songs which has all the music files saved in it by different names.

cool i sort of stumbled across the folder but it was because i was opening something else, but thanks alot ive been breaking my head lol trying to figure it out.
