We only have until next February before everyone needs to have the capability to receive digital TV transmissions so I thought I'd take this opportunity to let everyone know if you're interested you can get a free satellite TV system with free installation for up to four rooms. If you know others who would be interested you can sign up for free to be an affiliate and earn up to $110 for giving it away. PM me if you're interested. Now is probably the best time ever to sign up as an affiliate because there are people who aren't able to get cable so this is their best and most affordable way to continue enjoying their favorite shows and much more.

I had satellitte for awhile and I hated it. When it was raining or the wind was blowing you would lose your signal. My cable bill is a lot cheaper and no contract to sign.

I`m upset with all this bs. I have att phone & internet, they have bugged me for a long time about getting their dish.so i finaly said ok,well i have had att for over a year, but dish will not put it in cause i only have a debit card.it`s going to be added to my phone bill anyway.they want me to pay $350.00 dollars for a deposit.so i called direct tv. they are the same way.but they want almost $600.00.so i called my cable co.it`s only going to cost me $58.00.for my first month & activation.then $36.00 a month after that.so direct tv & dish, can shove it.companies like these don`t care about the poor & disabled.they should be banned from the fcc.

I think if the government is making us all go digital, then they should foot the entire bill. It is not fair for the public to have to have this extra expense that most can not afford. We have two tellys. One is through a satellite and the other is not. The one with the satellite when the reception is good it is very good. However, when it rains, snows or is just plain windy, the reception is terrible. At the moment we can turn off the satellite and watch terrestial tv. Next year we won't be able to do that. We will be looking at a blank screen. They can not promise that everyone will have a signal even if they do now. So, is this progress? I think not. If we had cable in this country things would be different.

Wonder what they will come up with next?
This is just another way to get the consumers to pay out more money. Either get cable, buy a satallite dish, or some kind of converter box or newer TV. There is always some way to get us to pay, pay, pay. When will it end? Or will it ever end?
Some people can't afford to do any of the above and then there is the monthly cost you have to pay ...so books will be selling better and people will be reading more. I was told that if your TV wasn't more than 10 years old it had no effect on them. Well time will tell.

I think I am ready for digital tv only because the channels are supposed to come in better and more channels are supposed to be available to us. We do not have cable though so we have to rely on basic programming and Netflix movies monthly. I will have to replace to of my older tv's too because I am not buying the converter box for them.
