What are you doing to protect Our Earth?

It may be just saving electricity, planting a tree, using water sparingly, coserving water, rain water harvesting. We have hope, a memeber and my friend on my lot here who tends to native animals and takes care of them to release them back in to the wild. I try and plant as many trees I can and use water carefully. What little bit do you do to preserve our earth. If you have not yet thought of it, start today and let us know too.

The small and simple things you mentioned are the best ways i can help in protecting the Earth... i try to reuse materials that i can... especially the plastic ones... and even use the airconditioning as less than we should... these might not make a great impact... but if millions will do it... the it will make a great difference to our environment...

I live in Gangtok and as a rule here Plastic bags are banned. It is one of the cleanest and well behaved city I have eer sen. The streets are free of litter and ever nook and corner has small dustbins. People actually use them and they have seprate side walks for pedestrians -people use those too and no hawkers ocupy them. They ahev a section of market solely for hawkers and then another for cobblers. People are so keen to keep their market neat-you can actually walk there barefoot. Its a place where you feel close to nature.

well, I have always recycled in every way i can and obviously its rubbed off on my kids. every one of them thinks of and does recycle always. Also, now i have 2 sons that work in recycleing business!! so, believe me i have done my part i feel.

Due to urbanisation lots of trees has been cut and many forest has been cleaned which is the main reason of global warming.so i encourage every person who are related to me for tree planting.
To protect soil covering of earth i told them to use biodegradable product like jute bags,i don't encourage them to use paper bags because using paper directly related with cutting of trees.
using water carefully.we share our car with our neighbour so to protect earth from air polution usually we use public transport.Air polution is the main cause of green house effect

well, I do these things:
1. I use electricity wisely, I hate it when people waste them, I think I do it because I want to minimise my e-bill.
2. Use water wisely but then again since there is water shortage in our area......
3. Use public transport. Right now I don't have any vehicle but I think that even if I will have one, I would still use public buses....

I've decided I'm not buying anything anymore unless it's an absolute necessity. I now accept second-hand stuff from friends. I bought some reuseable cloth bags to do shopping and use them continuosly (greatly reduced usage of plastic bags). I walk more and use the car less.
