What is the most significant lesson that you learned growing up and who did you learn it from (Mother, Father, Aunt, Uncle, Friend, whoever). I learned the most important lesson from my Grandparents and two Aunts. It was not a verble lesson but taught by action. That lesson was that no matter what anybody said or how they treated me i did deserve love and acceptance. If I had not eventually accepted that lesson i shudder to think where i might have ended up!

Don't get your self so far into debt that you can't enjoy living life. Live life to the fullest because you never know when your time is up. I have watched my mom and step dad struggle to make ends meat and not be able to even go out to dinner because my step dad thought my mom needed a beautiful house. I lost a husband to cancer when he was in his early thirties. Those two things have taught me that living and enjoying life is the most important thing you can do.

It is strange what people think others need to make them happy isn't it? When really your time and attention is all that it would take to make you happy.

I think the most important life lesson I have learned is to always take the "high road". Do the best, right thing that you can think of - this comes from life experience, not family/

I would have to agree with busta1, do unto others as you would have them do unto you.

That lesson is one that would make the world a better place if everyone would live by it.

I have managed to learn something important from most of my family. Two that really stand out is my Aunt had a young daughter that lived a somewhat sheltered life. When the daughter reached her teenage years she went kind of wild. She did things her parents absolutly did not approve of. But my Aunt said. 'You don't throw your children away' I have lived by that. It's just easier to love your kids then try to prove your disappointment in the messes they get into. I have a cousin that made a real important statement one time that I think about often. And I share it with others. He helped his oldest daughter get a car, well, it turned out to be a mistake. When the next child got to that age she tried to use the 'Well you bought so and so a car' His response? 'Just because I made a mistake with your sister doesn't obligate me to make the same mistake with you' To me, that was pure wisdom.

the most important lesson ive learn is that do not just be academically wise but be street wise as well. life itself taught me to be wise. being street wise... you cant learn that in school but you will learn it from life itself. the things you learned in school you can also apply that when you go out and work. lise has taught me a lot of wisdom. i also learned a lot from my parents but experience is the best teacher.

There are a lot of lessons in life that are important. But the most important for me was knowing that I am a sinful man. And because of that, I will spend eternity in hell. But Christ gave Himself for me to pay the penalty of my sins, and rose again to show me that if I believe and trust Him, I will have a home in heaven. Therefore, I had trusted him as my Savior and Lord of my life. Good day to you!

I think some of the most importanat lessons that i have learnt, i actually learnt them through mistakes i have made. I dont really want to go into them in detail, but those mistakes changed my life forever. I cant say that i regret them, but if i was to live life again, i am sure i would pick a different path.
