In my country, commercial blood banks are banned and now, only authorized hospitals have blood bank.A central unit which is a clearing house controls availability of blood and those who needs it must connect with the medical technoogists in their hospital laboratories to get the proper blood for them. The blood before being transfused is properly typed and crossmatched--screened for typing, and for diseases thus, we are sure that the blood in our haspital in the philippines is clean

Still think I would have real blood over artificial blood. In the UK there are very few stories about problems from donated blood so again would happily take donated blood if my life depended on it.
