what is you met someone on the intenet and they didnt tell you something?

well i would like to know if you had met someone on the internet and started talking tom them aand then wanted to meet them because you started to like them but then you found out they had a disability what whould you do why do i ask that well im a 33 year old male and i met someone off the internet started talking to her in a chat room and got to like her alot the both of us atrted to like eachother but she left something out and then when i decided to meet her one of her nurses called me and said well she wants to meet you but she is afraid i said why there is nothing to be afraid of she said well she is in a wheelchair and she has md and a trac in her throat and is ventilator dependent and i said to her nurse that called me i dont care i want to meet her this was 6 years ago and guess what we are still together i at the time lived 110 miles away quit my job and everything to go to where she lived and never left but just because she has a dissability doesnt mean she is not a person she is a loveing careing women and a loveing careing women of 3 teenage daughters she jokes and helps others she is the best girlfriend anyone could ask for and the best mother in the world so whould you have done the same?would you back out and if so why?

well i'm have to say tht most guys wondnt have wanted to meet her after hearing tht, i have to give u props. i wouldnt care if i found out something like tht about a person. love can concorer anything tht comes ur way. i'm a person tht falls in love with a person personality and not looks, the personality is wht makes a person hot or not. all my life i've dated girls tht had interesting personalitys more then looks. i've realized tht sometime people tht look hot can have the worst personality.

Yes I am the women he met of the internet and alot of guys, also women to are ignorent and Quick to judge a person before they even really know them. So Let him know the person I was inside and he liked my personality and we liked some of the same things and had things in common and then I told him after he knew the person I was inside I asked him if he would have a problem with me being disabled and He said no and yes some guys would have turned there head and it would have been there lose. Cause im still a person inside and out. Having a disablitly doesnt change me being able to Live independently with my daughters. I just wanted to throw in this comment thanks.

paulw33 you renew my faith in humanity. what you did and how you reacted is just magnificent.I wish others could see beyond a person's disabilities into the person inside and love them for that not for their outward appearance. I was asked once if I really wanted to stay married to my husband after he had a colostomy for colon cancer and I just looked at them. then I said he is still the same man I married and of course I will stay with him as I love him and he loves me. Just because of somechanges in his anatomy that does not change who he is. and yes I would have done just what you did as we love the person inside not her handicaps or disabilities. thanksfor a good discussion.

I can understand a person leaving stuff out because they are afraid. If she had flat out lied (like said she was single when she was married or something) that would be different.

I know I Would never back out if i found out someone was in a wheelchair with some disabilities. Like you said she is still a woman with emotions and feelings, wants and needs. She deserves love like anyone else.
