My son just came from school. Each day he comes home and asks me for french toast. Sometimes I am a bit busy but today I was rested and the time so I made some for him. He likes them topped with a mix of cinnamon powder and sugar. Do you make french toast regularly? Any special way to make it or special recipe for it?

Coming right up, hon. And adding a nice cup of homemade lemonade to go with it :) Fried bread will count as long as it's really dry and not soaked up in the oil hehehe

Every once in awhile I make them, and most of the time it is for dinner just as a treat. On Sundays we have a great big breakfast together, the works bisquits and gravy, bacon sausage eggs anyway you please, but my husband is not fond of waffles, French toast or pancakes, So Jake, the kids and I treat at night time these things sometimes.

For myself I will eat it occasionally as a treat too. But my son would eat them every day if I made it LOL

Yum, that sounds like a good dinner! I haven't ever made french toast, I have a recipe for it somewhere, and I hope to give it a try someday. I like to order it when I go to IHOP though. But I don't go there a lot either. Homemade has got to be the best.

I like to make things myself because that way I can change this or that according to my tastes, so for me home made is always best :) Do try it, because it's really yummy :)

My son used to love French toast. Every weekend, I would make a loaf or 2 and then put the french toast on a cookie sheet with wax paper between them in the freezer. Then he could just grab them from the freezer, throw them in the microwave and have them when he wanted. He always had them with peanut butter.

I have done the freezing thing too, but he was eating them so fast I stopped. Too much of a good thing is not necessarily good either LOL
