Conservatist propaganda movie? | | On a forum I belong to someone made a comment about how 300 was a conservative propaganda movie. They said that the spartans represented our troops in Iraq, that it depicted the army of xerxes as a "black army of heathens" and drew several other parallels between modern life in a similar way. The comment was political and was deleted by a mod, but I think they made an interesting point. I myself didn't see what they were saying as true I think that it would make an interesting discussion.... So discuss! Dan

However while it was an actual event the way the movie depicted it could draw some interesting parallels with an IRL propaganda movie. At any rate I thought it sounded like an interesting discussion;p Thanks for the response. Dan

History repeats. That's just the way of it, you could draw the same parallels with almost every war in history.
