Elementary students should smoke week everyday?

According to some ignorant a-holes in my neighbourhood, smoking w33d everyday is being promoted at our local elementary school. Unfortunately, the methods these ignoramuses are using to spread their message involves illegal acts of graffiti on the school's outside walls and playground equipment (as can be seen in the photo I attached). This is the second time this week that our school has been vandalized by scoundrels. The first was over the weekend, which happened to be 420, although the messages I read on Monday on the equipment had nothing to do with 420, and all to do with cuss words. However, at some point between Wednesday after school and Thursday morning, a new crop of "advertising" appeared for all to see. Some of it included some rather graphic images of both male and female genitalia. Not only am I disgusted at the vandalism because of the excess costs our school must incur to clean up this trash - money that mostly comes out of the school's fundraising efforts I might add - but after Thursday morning's findings, it is also giving marijuana another bad rap. Not cool. Not cool at all. Our school does have some security cameras, but the images have not yet been viewed. Hopefully they will give police enough information to find the culprits, and bring them to justice. Personally, I would like to see them having to clean it all up with a lot of elbow grease and some toothbrushes.

Yes I agree they should be made to clean up the mess when they are found and a few more chores around the city and perhaps that will stop their careless behaviour.

I'm not sure what other chores would be appropriate... but maybe to make them sit through an economics course of sorts, to learn about how much it costs to clean up these kinds of messes, and exactly where that money comes from.

There always has to be a bunch of idiots not only vandalizing but also giving the wrong idea. I Like the toothbrushes, but how much do you want to bet that the parents of said idiots would find that harsh and unfair punishment ?

Then to those parents I would say, "Here's your toothbrush. Get at it".

it is most unfortunate that there are such selfish, and unethical and antisocil hooligans around your neighbourhood. I hope that your community will be strong enough to withstand and even stand up against such unwelcome behaviour in your district.

I'm not sure what more the community can do to be honest. Apparently there's at least one other window smashed at the front of the school today. It's never been this bad before.

Where are the parents of these kids doing this stuff. I think that they should hold the parents responsible if whoever did it is in fact a minor child. People have way too much time on their hands and need to find better things to do than to vandalize an elementary school where the kids are so young and impressionable. Hope the find out who did it.

Depending on the ages of the kids (if indeed they are kids), I am torn on whether or not to hold the parents responsible. One of the ways our city has tried to help with the spray painting vandalism issue, is that you have to be at least 18 years of age to purchase it from any store. So for minors to get it, if they didn't steal it, then an adult was involved in them getting it. If that is the case, THAT is when I agree that the parents (or the adults involved) should be held responsible.

That's just stupid children playing games, I guess, I hope. They do it on every subject. Although it is unfortunate for it to happen now when 420 and May 3rd demonstration are on the forefront. I like the toothbrush idea. That would definitely drive the non-grafitti message home in my opinion.

They should put some elbow grease and some toothbrushes to work there! This is getting rediculous. I cant believe kids these days! Honestly I didnt even know what w33d was until i was 15!! By that age I had better things to do. I cant believe that kids would do this to a place that young children play 5 days a week. I feel for you if your children go to that school.

Yes, my three children go to that school. My older son is in grade 3 now, and has been going there for 5 yrs. This is the WORST the graffiti has ever been in all the years we have lived in this area. There are usually the odd sprays here and there, but nothing so graphic. The school walls were repulsive.

I doubt the graffiti was done by the kids in the elementary school... although perhaps some from the older grades, as the school goes up to grade 8. I'm in London, Ontario, Canada.

Whoever did that is absolutely crazy! He's also an idiot who has nothing useful to do, so he thinks of craps like that. I think that neds soe serious investigation and action on the part of your local police. If I were in your place, I would definitely not let my children see all that and make sure that they don't get disturbed by that crap.

Other than the defacing of the playground equipment, the majority of the vulgar spray painting was on the main gym wall of the school, on the older kids' side (they divide what side of the playground certain grades go). In that respect, some of the younger, more impressionable kids weren't AS exposed to the graffiti. That's not much of any consolation, I know. Sigh!
