i guess i'm gonna kill myself lol he won't even listen to our mom and our dad can't do anything about it either because he works abroad and he can only be with us once in a year

Smoking is a big problem in the US too. Luckily my parents and brother are all 100% against smoking, except my dad smokes about 6 times a year and only at parties. Anyway I can't say I feel your pain but good luck and I know you'll make it through.

they stay in our house and they wouldn't listen to what we tell them about smoking i really hate the smell of it

yeah i wish he'll stop that habit as soon as possible. and aside from smoking, they also love to drink beer, it's like soda for them

yeah, my brother won't even listen to our mom. he's very stubborn thanks for responding

we both live in our parent's house cos were still studying. my father told him that he should get his own space if he doesn't follow the rules around the house. but the bad news is, our mom always tolerates him even though she knows that it's wrong. she's also afraid of our brother and that's the reason i can think of why she's always tolerating him. my brother was a goody goody when he has problems with his gf or if he needs a money. but if he doesn't need anything from our mom he's being very stubborn, and he doesn't want to listen to other people that lives in our house. and when i'm talking to him that he shouldn't do this or that, he just talks back at me by saying that i'm not his older sister so it's not my right to talk to him that way

Since that is the case, unfortunately I would suggest you moving out. You can't make your mother stand up to him if she doesn't want to, and you can't put him out yourself. I was going to come back if he just isn't leaving, your mother could file eviction papers on him and have him and his gf escorted out by the police (at least that's how it works here in the States) but if she wouldn't do that, you can't do it for her. I know that it costs a lot to move out, but this is your health we are talking about. I would check in on your mother periodically, to make sure that he isn't running her over too bad, but I would definitely leave that house if I were you.

i would really love to do it if i have my own job. but the problem is i'm still studying. if i move out i don't think that i can pay my own tuition fees as well as paying some monthly bills i guess i'm the unluckiest person in the world

I have to fight you for that title. I am stuck in my grandmother's house at the present time. Not going to school, just a money issue. My grandmother, although well meaning, is overstepping her boundaries and spoiling my kids, they don't even listen to me half the time because they know most of the time my grandma will step in and override what I have said. I need to move out so I can be a parent, but I can't afford it because I don't have a job, and having a horrible time finding one.

i would be happy if i have a brother like you. i'm not treating him as my brother anymore from what he have done to me since when i was in high school. one of the reason that i could give to you as that he kicked me in the chest when i was 14 and still now he's treating me and my younger brother like an animal
