A boy at Manchester High School, in CT, has been beaten at school and is currently in critical condition in the hospital.
I attended Manchester High years ago and it saddens me how much school has changed.
What has young people so angry that they nearly beat each other to death?

I hope that the boy is okay and I think that all schools are getting violent nowadays. With all the technology that they are getting access to right now they think that they are grownups and that they know everything. Now for every little thing they are fighting. I know that schools mostly have cliques and stuff but they weren't so violent or anything like that.

Schools everywhere are getting more and more violent. It seems that beating other kids up is some kind of status symbol. It's how they show other's how 'tough' they are and that they aren't afraid to do that sort of thing if they 'need' to. They think it's cool in some sad sick way.
We're too desensitized to violence.

I am orginally from CT. This really doesnt suprise me though. Manchester and Hartford are horrable. Now it seems like schools are like this nation wide. It makes me so angry that I just want to home school my 3 children when they get of age to start school. Some kind of action should be in store for that child(ren) that did this to this boy. I feel for him and hope he pulls through.
