What Did You Learn From This Movie?

this movie is so touching. i can feel his pain, i have felt that pain of rejection, this movie really shows us that if you never ever give the human spirit can shine through. im a big fan of this movie. its funny, someone i know, thought it was crap, but that person hasnt suffered hardships like me. that is probably why that person didnt connect with it. i loved it!

i had my son wacth the movie to show him how life can be and how some people have to really struggle to get were they want to be. i was wacthing this movie with a box of tissues at hand. at the end i ask my son what do you think of the movie and he said " i understand when you say i (meaning me) to struggle to get were i am going" i guess he learned that you have to fight to survive and that thier are many obticales in life..

The movie is a really really nice one. It's a movie that shows a lot of struggle but no matter what you'll see in him that he has the determination and willpower to survive and make it past those obstacles. I'm really glad he did everything for the love of his life-his son. And good enough, what he worked hard for, payed off.:) That's the best thing about the movie

Well a lot, that success doesn't come easy and it takes a lot of courage to be able to succeed. That I should be appreciative of more of my parents for giving me my needs and even wants. ThatI am just so lucky to have a life now but as i move on i shouldn't expect a life better than what i have now because sooner ionly have myself to surpass everything that is ahead of me:)

That being a father is no easy thing and yet with all the hardships and trials, there could be no sweeter experience than sharing your triumph with the people you truly love like a son, a daughter, a wife or a parent. Seeing Chris Gardner survives each day by conquering the difficulties in his life like those seeking shelter with his son or sleeping in the toilet is very touching. One could only wonder if that happens to one's life, if that person would fight like chris did or one would simply fold.

I like to use qoutes from people that I have met, known and respected, to express my thoughts from time to time. This particular quote fits this mans circumstances, "The good Lord will not give you a cross that you cannot bear." I feel that sums up this movie, in the sense that through Mr. Gardner's trials and tribulations, he sets his sights on lifting himself up. He refuses the notion that his son can do without his father. He refuses to allow himself to be a "wannabe", "aslo ran", " society owes me", individual.
He epitomzes the notion that the worst course of action is inaction. He truly believes that through hard work and preserverance people can fufill aspirations. It is not a fantasy to reach your goals. It is a fantasy that dreams come true, just because they do.
For those who are born with wealth and opportunity life is to live. For the majority of us, we must engage the struggle to overcome whatever obstacles are presented to us and remember that, "The good Lord will not give you a cross that you cannot bear."

A simple yet a very powerful movie. It reminds us to be patience and persevere. Hang in there and never ever lost sight of a better tomorrow. When the going gets tough, the tough gets going...
