Corrie family to get the chop???

The Morton family members are kebab owner Jerry and children Mel, Darryl, Kayleigh and Finlay are set to leave later on this year after joining in March 2007. Also father and son bookies Harry and Dan are also to leave in Autumn. They joined the cast in December. The producers have had a big forward planning meeting and have chosen to axe a few characters. The actors have been told and are absolutely gutted! Another character that is also set to leave is Liz McDonald's new husband Vernon who is set to leave in September! If you had the chance, what characters would you choose to get rid off and who would do you keep??

Oh dear please tell me there aren't going to be any more cars in the canal or people hit over the head with ornaments! Or is David about to lose the plot big time and kill them all off? lol I would get rid of Carla - some b1tches are likeable but she is just awful to watch! xxx

She's very pretty though isn't she. Just, her personality leaves a lot to be desired. It's all the scriptwriters' fault though, eh :-)

She is indeed very beautiiful and the actress who plays her is very good but the character is so self absorbed, manipulative and vindictive it is awful! I see from your post that you are in NZ and over a year behind so all I will say is that you will see for yourself! xxx

Thank you for those fun spoilers! Also for confirming that we are (in New Zealand) 13 months behind. Because that family just arrived in the last episode I saw, i.e. in April 08. Not very appealing so far, those new people. I always find it a bit strange when a new family/character arrives... awkward, like I have to get to know them and everything. Shocked to hear that Liz actually marries that wastrel Vernon, and not sorry to hear he will be leaving the show :-) I always liked her husband Jim. That gorgeous Irish accent! So yummy :-) What a fool she was to marry Vernon. Who would I get rid of? Cilla, yeah. I don't like the way she scowls all the time, and is just so generally nasty!

Sorry didnt mean to spoil it for you!!! Im shocked that you are 13 months behind!! Thats means you have all the excitement of David to come!!! lol I'll try not to spoil anymore storylines for you, who knows they may change their minds later and keep some of the characters!! It is hard adjusting to a new family as you know nothing about their background and have to adjust to their characters!! Jim was fab!! I want to discuss so much more but not sure what you have and havent seen!! boo hoo I think Vernon is abit slimy/sleazy!! Im sure he's after Liz's money or something!! I wont discuss no more.......promises, fingers crossed!!!
