The main reason as to why most latin players go to spain or Portugal is due to language barrier and also lifestyles, its easier for a latin player to adopt in spain than in England because of things like food, and the people. I agree the language barrier has much to do with Latin Americans playing in Spain and Portugal. There are also a large number of players from such countries playing in Italy, Russia, Holland and France where their native language is not as widely spoken.

The main reasons for Latin American players staying clear of the Premiership is the style of football being played. England is years behind in terms of technical ability, so players moving from South America take much longer to adjust to the English game. The English game is faster and more physical too which is not appealing either. Latin American footballers prefer to go to Spain, Portugal, Italy, Holland, France and Russia as they have more time and space on the ball and this allows their natural flair and ability to shine.
