Have you had your child/ children christened or similar depending on your faith? Im just wondering what your reasoning for having it done or not having it done are? do you want you child to choose their own faith or do you want to include them in your own? im not going to judge anyone for their comments, just wondering what you all chose?

Hiya babe! Neither of the girls are christened I have no faith so it seemed a little hypocritical to christen them. Il support them in any religion they wish to have the same as I would if they follow me and dp and dont have any religion.

I'm not particularly religious in the Church going sense of the word, but I was raised Catholic and believe firmly in God and Jesus. So I figured, that if Baptism was good enough for Jesus, then it was good enough for my kids. As for any of the other 'sacrements' of the Church - I have left that totally up to my kids to make their own decision on.

I have my two daughters baptized when they were just a few months because we are Catholics. Me and my husband are both raised Catholics and was baptized ourselves. When my children are old enough to choose what faith they will follow, then I will give them the freedom to do so. But for now, while they are still little, we are building a foundation for them and raised them the way we are raised. Children needed guidance and while they still can't think for themselves, it is the parents responsibility to teach them.
