Why I could never go on the real world.

Ok, it didn't used to be like this. The Real World used to be more a show that I could have imagined myself going on. But in the last few seasons at least, it seems like all they do every single night is go out to bars and drink and dance. First off, I don't drink like that. Maybe one-two drinks for me and I'm done. Second, I don't enjoy loud music and dancing except maybe once in awhile for fun.
All these people do is go out and party and drink! Are there no other dimensions to the people on the real world? Yes I'll still watch but I no longer can really relate to these characters at all.
What is funny is that I reallllly love the Real World/Road Rules challenges as those are so much more interesting, but I'm now only watching the Real World out of curiosity and I never watch Road Rules (if it's even on).
What do you guys think? Is this realistic for people to party like this all the time? I know they say people in college do or people who live with friends away from their parents, but I know even if I lived with a bunch of friends in college that I wouldn't be into that, I never was. What about you?

I agree with you 100%, I am at the age where I could possibly be on the real world but I would never want to. I am in college right now but realistically I can't party every single night. I have responsibilities now with school and work and by the time I get home I wouldn't even be able to think of drinking all night or go clubbing. Even if I got a break from all that stuff I still wouldn't want to go out and drink every night I don't know how they do it lol.
There's more to the real world than just partying and drinking! This new season thats all they do and quite frankly its not that interesting anymore. I used to love the show but this one doesn't do it for me lol.

Good :) I'm glad there are some reasonable college students out there that don't party every night :-D I agree that even when you have no responsibility (summer break or whatever) it would still be hard to go out EVERY Night! Of course, the people on the Real World sleep until noon everyday :-D
I missed the last few episodes because it has gotten dull. Drink, party, fight, drink, party, fight, make up, repeat.

I could never do this as i gave up drinking but it has gotten worse before they had jobs they had to do at least now it seems all about partying and drama. I dont know why youd want to be on the show except to be on tv.

I hate to break it to you, but you're too old for the real world :)
My life crumbled the day I turned 25 because that was the day I became TOO OLD for MTV. and that's partially the thing you have to realize. 25 is too old for MTV, The older you get the younger the MTV crowd gets. the younger generations these days do even worse things that my generation or your generation... heck they do worse things than the generations of the 60's and 70's!
I always said I wanted to be on the Real World. Never seriously enough to audition, but I thought it'd be cool. However, the past couple seasons it has been trashy. i'm sorry, but this Brianna character is nothing but complete trash. This Joey character is not only unattractive, he really does look like a brunette Johnny Bravo and he's just ridiculous. I can't stand the country girl. The other brunette is just a snot. and the MTV pick, greg, he's annoying. The only ones that are cool are Will and the white dude who I can't remember his name. That's the other problem with the more recent seasons, The people ON the real world are usually either annoying, drunks and/or complete trash.
The other thing to remember is that they don't have any tv or anything else to do in their house but go out and get trashed. I'm sure they do do some other things, but MTV doesn't show it because they're catering to a younger generation than us.
Just wait till your kids are teenagers :p

Haha, no I know I'm too old now, but even when I was 18-25 I wasn't into that kind of partying. I guess it's true every generation gets a little crazier! I never was serious enough to actually go on it just like you.
Brianna dresses like a stripper every day. She says she's going to put on shorts and they look like underwear to me! Joey is nuts. The country girl bugs me b/c she ACTED like a goody-two-shoes the first day and then became totally different the second day. The other brunette is boring too!
Greg is so weird! He so obviously wants to be liked by everyone yet he puts on an act that he doesn't need friends.
I like Will, he's from Detroit (go Detroit! Woo hoo!) I was sooooo happy when he decided he didn't like Brianna anymore. I hope he represents us well, so far he has.
No tv means go get drunk? What about playing board games, or going to movies, or going shopping? When I was a teen we went to movies all the time. I guess that would be dull to watch though if that's all they did, but you get the point that there are plenty of things to do besides that. Plus, they are in Hollywood! Go to Universal Studios, get out and explore! It seems like the "city" doesn't even matter anymore b/c they don't interact with anything except the bars.
I guess they just don't pick people that are more like me b/c I know teens and 20somethings who do a lot of things and almost never go to the bar. So they must look for the ones that are drunk all the time. Maybe they do the application process in bars :-D
