It may be that you think birthday parties are the most enjoyable. It doesn't necessarily have to be one where you are the guest of honor, just whichever you find the most fun and enjoyable. Maybe those parties where they get scrapbookers together and sell all kinds of craft suplies. Anniversary parties? Retirement? Bachelor or Bachelorette parties? What do you think? Is Halloween party a lot more fun? I kind of like plain old slumber parties. A lot of girls or women decide to have a girl's night and they talk a lot, rent some movies, and just have a good time.

I don't go to to parties much, I always preferred a quiet get together with friends. I don't particular care for loud noise and lots of games and activities, such dinner and good conversation over cocktails in the evening was always my preference.

My favourite parties are not necessarily parties but small gatherings with good friends, a few drinks and some good conversation. Also parties that are spur of the moment and not planned are good too. I think it's because there's no expectations about how good the party will or won't be, it just happens and everyone has fun.
My other favourite type of party are the ones that are at other people's houses because you can just leave...leave the rubbish and cleaning up!! Hahaha..

To me, the best parties are just spur of the moment casual parties that aren't planned. Usually starting off with a friend dropping in for a drink and staying longer than they expected. Usually parties that are planned for weeks and have had lots of money and planning and effort put into them are the least enjoyable because you're so worried about cleaning up and getting around and talking to people. I like low-key, relaxing get togethers with friends and family.

I love parties where there is a lot of outdoor activities to do..I have a friend who has 80 acres and has 2 parties a year, Memorial Day and Labor day..People can bring their tents to camp out and they have this huge bonfire and they have walking trails, (I love to hike), and part of a river goes through and they have a place to swim a net for volley ball and other outdoor games..
We haven't camped out there, but we have spent some time eating and playing and just enjoying ourselves..Unfortunately there are also drinkers which is why we don't stay very long, especially as evening approaches when they get really drunk..

My kind of party would just be a really casual one, where theres some good buffet food or finger food and just a few of my favourite friends. We all get together and have a good giggle ,maybe watch a film or just chat about life in general, and have a drink.Im really not into the formal parties, where everyone has to get on with everyone, they can be so boring. If you get family members who just dont get on then it cxan be really difficult. At work we sometimes used to have a party at someones home that was selling someting.jewellery or china etc,and they were usually good fun,and if you wanted to buy sometihng that was fine too.

Well this friend of mine that lives down the block from me gives fantastic get together parties and usually on Halloween and Christmas, and wow, she goes all out to decorate her place with the Halloween theme or Christmas--the folks that are there are great, the mood is mellow and no one gets roudy....meaning no one drinks that much..hehee--I always love going to them...unfortunately missed out on both of them last year as each time I was sick!

The best parties are the ones I don't have to go to! I know, I am a party pooper.
Parties that are outside when the weather is nice are the best ones.
The worst are the ones where I am stuck in a house with a bunch of people I don't know. I am just not a social butterfly if I don't know you already.

I'm a party pooper. Loud music or all night gossip sessions are not my thing. Kids parties are ok, as long as I can drop my kids off and go for a well earned cuppa and cake on my own, even if only for an hour! lol.

I love any parties that have to do with the Christmas holiday.. They can be festive dinners, late night get-togethers or an out and out big fancy dress up dinner.. As long as it has to do with the holidays, it is great to dine with friends and family.. Everything os so festive that even a simple dinner is the best of fun.. Halloween parties were also my favorite when my son was younger.. We had all of his friends from school and had the yard decorated with a cemetary and every spooky thing that we could find.. The slumber party sounds good..
