3. WhatsHerName (1136) | 3 months ago | You can make it in a toaster oven, I can make anything in there. I have made cookies, muffins, roasts even fortune cookies. I just put the mix in 2 8x9 or 8x8" pans instead of one pan. I use my toaster oven to save money. My oven is gas, electric is cheaper here, plus it doesn't get the house so hot in the summer.

4. DarlingGirl (592) | 3 months ago | It's possible, but you have to have a dutch-oven (big cast iron pot). What you do is start a fire outdoors, of wood, and build up enough coals to fill the bottom of a pit (which you will dig, big enough to put the pot into) and some more to out on top of the pot. This usually creates a temperature of around 275-350 degrees farenheit. It will take a little more time to cook, and may get slightly burnt on the bottom and sides, but will still be good. Just sweep the coals off the pot, lift it out (better wear big pot holders for that) and tip it upside down before it cools. I've done this at an English Civil War recreation camp. We've also baked bread, pies, and biscuits using this method. OH! And the English Navy also uses tin/zinc garbage cans for this - build a fire, place coals under the can (tipped on its side) place two bricks inside, and balance your cake pan on them. Close the garbage can with its lid, and it will get quite hot inside so long as you keep the coals hot under and around the can. It will bake in just about the same time as a regular oven. Enjoy!

| topeekim (36) | 3 months ago | wow! That's eccentric. hehe. maybe it will have a distinct taste other than those baked in the oven. hmm... i like the idea. I will try to make one this way. thanks

| 10. bloodhunter13 (96) | 3 months ago | who says you can't make one? here's a simple recipe using marie biscuit and melted chocolate. you'll need a refrigerator too. we call it the batik cake 1. glaze a container/baking pan with butter 2. break the biscuit into tiny pieces and put it in the container. you'll need a lot of biscuits. keep the crumb and use it as filler (when needed) 3. pour melted chocolate onto the biscuit 4. spread the chocolate evenly. press the chocolate-covered biscuits so it will form a firm dough. wear a clean plastic glove if you have one, or wrap your hand in a small clean plastic bag if you don't have any glove. you might want to do it in layers (biscuit, choc, biscuit, choc) especially if you want to make a thick one 5. add more choc if you think the mixture is too dry and crumbly. add more biscuit if it is too wet 6. continue pressing until the mixture is really, really firm you think you can cut it nicely with a knife 7. refrigerate for a few hours 8. take it out and cut it into small pieces there is no specific recipe for it. so here are some tips: 1. use plain marie biscuit or a mix of plain and coffee-flavoured marie biscuit (3:1 or 2:1) 2. use sweet chocolate if you like it sweet. add milk and sugar if you want to. quick fix to a bitter chocolate: put some condensed milk in the choc and mix well 3. teach little kids to do it without involving fire (stove to melt the chocolate): mix ovaltine (or any chocolate malt that doesn't taste weird in your mouth when eaten straight from the pack, i love milo) mix a lot of the choc malt powder with a little warm water to get thick choc liquid. make it as sticky and thick as possible but at the same time is able to flow in between the biscuits 4. using a metal pan is better than a plastic container coz the mixture will cool better (especially the bottom) if anyone is interested let me know. i could try to find a proper recipe of it for you to try. anyone who is adventurous and is willing to try this using only my guidelines here, please let me know if it turns out well :)
