Sure you can get a used wedding dress. Or you could buy a suit. Shirt with jacket. So you can wear it on other occasions too. But if you are looking for a real wedding dress, I believe you are doing the right thing. Only one advise; Don´t go telling everyone at your wedding, that your dress was used befor. It is nobody´s business! Your Mom or best friend okay, but not the rest. It is your day, be the best you can, look the way you want. Be proud that you found the man you want to love for the rest of your life. Have a great wedding day!!!!!!!!!!! Take care.

my friend bought a really beautiful wedding dress (used from a thrift store) and she had a friend of hers alter it somewhat and she looked really beautiful when she got married. (the cost of the dress was $40-, with altering it was like about $100-) and i totally believe this is the way to go...why not buy a couple and have them put together as one (as long as you know a seamstress)...there are a lot of ideas for a thrifty wedding!

I have never bought a used wedding dress, and I woudln't need to, because I am having my dress made, but if you find one you like, if you feel OK about the idea, and if it is right for you, then go for it!! Good idea, on how to cut costs.

I'd buy one if i found one that fit and i loved. It would save money and well they usually only get used once. The thing is though..I'd be tempted to keep it rather than selling it..as a memory or for a daughter/neice to use in the future.. At the same time id be tempted to sell it rather than store it because I'd have my memories and photos. Plus lets face it..if i got remarried the chances of the same dress fitting would be slim.
