Wednesday i took back all my bottles, no packaging, no receipts and i got back 95$ from them. Pretty good considering i never really used them much anyways nor did i pay for them! (MIL bought most of them) If you dont know what BPA is, you should.. here is a link:

And here is some information from the page incase you are like me and to lazy to click a link.
What is Bisphenol A?
Bisphenol A is a hormone-mimicking chemical used in polycarbonate plastics (PC or identified as #7 recycling code) and resins commonly used for items such as shatterproof baby bottles. Bisphenol has estrogenic properties which, in animal tests has shown to cause a bevy of health problems such as an increase in prostate and breast cancer, uro-genital abnormalities in male babies, a decline in semen quality in men, early onset of puberty in girls, metabolic disorders including insulin-resistant (Type 2) diabetes and obesity and neurobehavioral problems such as Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder. Research is showing that when plastic containers, mostly those used to hold liquids and foods, are leeching Bisphenol into the foods and liquids they are holding. Heating food and liquids with these plastics is shown to increase the leeching of this contaminate.
On the site there is also a list of SAFE bottles that can be used.
Did you know about this prior to my discussion ?

I have never heard of that before sissy and if I am being honest I think it is very frightening that these products have been on the market and being used to feed our babies before they discovered these problems!
I should think that you would be given a refund no matter whether you had packaging, receipts or whatever or not - how many of us keep those things?
Thanks for the letting us all know about this - you would think a situation like this would be common knowledge for the sake of all our children wouldn't you? xxx

Yup--know all about BFA or code #7 bottles which are probably the worse plastic bottles ever invented next to code #3 which are plastic with PVC..I just did an article about all this and will soon be published at Associated content. Many countries are actually making moves to ban all BFA bottles, the worse is that BFA bottles have been used for baby bottles for many years

hey Sunshine, yes this has been getting a lot of coverage on our news. I have pretty much gone through the house and tossed several things. My Son drinks a lot of bottled water, so I am going to buy a Britta and safe drinking bottles for him. he needs something he can come in and grab and carry out to play with. I suppose I will have to get tough with him about bringing them back in.

Well its mostly if the bottles are heated i think. but there is STILL a chance of the chemial getting leeched into the water if the air inside the bottle heats up and heats the plastic. . i know its enough heat being locked inside a car to make a difference. . just make sure there is no #7 on the bottom of any of your plastic wares!

No I didn't know about this..That is scary, I have heard how plastic is harmful, but didn't know that things that a baby uses would be on the list..Good thing you caught it before it was too late..
