There is a fine line between self confidence and arrogance and with Christiano Ronaldo, one's viewpoint is usually determined based on the team supported. Manchester United fans will probably say he is self confident, fans of rival clubs will likely say he is arrogant. Let's get to the facts; this is a player currently rated as one of the best footballers in the world, if not the best at this moment. He has scored 40 goals in a season from the wing and his form has been nothing short of sensational for the last two seasons. If anyone has the right to believe they will score in every game or that they will play to best of their capabilities it is Ronaldo. I am a Leeds United fan, but even with the rivalry between the two clubs, it would be impossible for me to see him in a negative light due to his technical ability. Wayne Rooney has not had a bad season by any means but it is Ronaldo's continued brilliance that has made Rooney's contribute seem a quiet one.
If Ronaldo did not believe in himself and his ability we would not be witnessing the things we have seen from him. I hope he continues to believe in himself and continues to work hard to improve his game. If he is to do so we are likely to see even greater things from him in the future. There is not a club in the world that would not fall over themselves to have him in their team and he deserves the adulation he is receiving due to the consistent form that has shot him to world class status and one of the finest talents the Premier League has ever seen.
