Hi raydene! I am running on a very tight budget and we don't use the car often anymore. I do use the public transportation nowadays and sometimes just walk if the place where I am going to is not so far. Gas price is so high nowadays and I am trying to save as much as I can. Take Care and Happy Mylotting!

shew, it's getting about like that isn't it? 5 bucks for fumes! I got ill the other day as I am planning on taking a long driving trip to visit my mother.... the realization that my poor hard laboured darling of a husband will have to work a full hour for every hour that I drive. (provided gas prices do not go higher and I do not purchase anything other than gas) it makes me feel really guilty.

yes it seems like it is really coming to that doesn't it. People seem to think that gas will go down but I don't.

Haha, I'd go home, park the car, and prolly never drive it again. Time for a bike! Anywho, I can't drive yet, no license or car to speak of...but my parents will prolly begin talking about carpooling with neighbors and friends just so we can all get by. Personally I'm hoping to get a car with a good car-economy to help out..but yeah. I'm sure it will get better...but I doubt it'll get better soon. It'll probably get much worse over a period of months..and hopefully not years, but hey, who knows? Before it gets better...unless something is done. And there are options, but they're mostly up to our government or people with the mind for inventing things.

That's funny, raydene. That is about all that $5 will get us someday, so it seems. Living in Texas, we are blessed with some of the best gas prices in the country. It has to get better soon...... doesn't it??

I abouted fainted yesterday when I saw gas had yet again gone up. It is now $3.66 a gallon for regular unleaded and accoridind to the news it is going to get even higher. Oil prices are expected to get to between $150 and $200 a barrel I am already seeing images of gas at $7.00 a gallon this summer! I better buy a new pair of walking shoes.

hahaha hehehe well, the gas prices are getting really unreasonable. so what we do now, if we are not going on an important and necessary errand, we don't go. my hubby and i used to go drive around at night, and then we would stop by coffee shops to drink coffee and eat some dessert. but now, we no longer do that. it is so expensive already. we used to do that at least once a week. now, it has been 2 weeks and we haven't gone out...gee everything is so expensive now!

It must be early morning here as I did not get that for a few seconds....Will the gas prices get better??As much as we would like to believe YES,many of us accept the fact that we will be paying higher and higher gas prices untilsometging catastrophic happens. The gas companies make more money, the governemnts get more money thru taxes on it,and we continue to pay thru the nose (or butt as the gas attendand proved). For me,alot more local travel for my holidays.

To be honest, I am not quite sure what this discussion is about. But I will say this, "The clerk farted and gave me a receipt." made me laugh, so I thought i would mention that. haha and no, I can't afford gas.
