What is your favorite movie with a mothe theme?

My favorite film about mother is Stepmom which stars Julia Roberts and Susan Sarandon. I love drama and I think that it is a great movie.

oh gosh there are so many good one,

I remember mama was a great play too we did it in high school.

I loved imitation of life,

Terms of Endearment,

Not without my daughter

While it isn't completely about motherhood, I would have to choose Steel Magnolias. Absolutely love that movie!

well friend...first of accept my congartulations to you for sendind the top most discussions.well, i love watching movies and the best movie on mother which i have seen is MOther India.It is a basically indian movie where they have shown that a mother of two upbrings her two children with great difficulty in tiring circusmstances,It is really a terrific movie and if you can lay your hands in this dvd.Do see this movie.Infact after watching this movie i cried a lot.

For the life of me I can not think of one. I am sure I have see tons but the only movie right now with a mom that I can think of is an older movie "Stop or my Mom Will Shoot" haha. I think it has Sylvester Stalone in it? HAHA That is the first that popped in my head:)

When I think of Movie Mothers the first one that comes to mind is the mother from "Only the Lonely". This is an excellent movie and although not really meant to be a mother movie the mother is very important to it. Without her the movie would not be the same. Of course Maureen O'Hara came out of retirement to do the movie. If you haven't seen it I would recommend it. She plays a stereotypical Irish Catholic mother.


I think the other that comes to mind is the original "Yours Mine and Ours" with Lucille Ball. This movie really shows what motherhood and family are all about. Lucille Ball is excellent in there. For those who may not know it Lucille Ball plays a widow with 8 kids who meets and ends up marrying a man who is a widower with 10 kids. They recently did a remake and it is one of the few remakes that I did not care for.

Lately I saw a movie called For One More Day via the net. And it's about a suicided baseball player and he allowed to stay one more day with his mom. I think it's a very moving film and be sure it will make me cry.
