I just got rid of one microwave that was made in 1978 and it worked great until the end. The one I have now is about two years old and it's nice, but it was nowhere near as large as that old microwave. But, I think it uses a lot less power. I've always wondered about the health effects of having a microwave as old as that one, too, but I was never sick from it.

I got mine in 2000.Its a microwave with the grill. It was quite expensive when I got it way back. Now i find micrwave's are so cheap compared to what I got.I never cook in it.Its just used to heating and thawing food.I live in a cold place where I have to keep heating the food.I find it so useful i wonder how I would manage without it.

Had mine since 2007 - working very fine but the rotating plate did break recently but it has been replaced since.
