Where do you work? in Gov office or private office? If you don't work also, what do you like? I work in private company and i prefer that. I just do not like the work culture of government job. atleast in my country,. they are too lazy and are very lenient. what is your preference?

Yeah i agree in our country govt employees are lazy. But i rather consider the benefits, they have free medical benefits, free travel benefits, good amount of money whether ypou work or dont, ample amounts of leaves etc.., so i rather prefer a govt job. Private is too much hard work, with no benefits at all....

hmm. where do you work? i think its not actually the case that private jobs provide no money, no benefits and lots of work. its true peopel work a lot there, also tehy provide mostly better salary than gov job. My company gives me rs 3L mediclaim policy per year, other benefits. is that too bad?that too i have just 3.5 yr exp.

I prefer not to work in Government job or Private job. I like to start a firm or and industry which can fulfill my life. If i start a firm i only can give few jobs to the people. What you said about the government workers in our country,i too hate this and i want to change this by keeping a company and want to teach a lesson for government workers.

i work at private office and honestly i prefer to work at private office than at government office. in my country, the performance of government office not as good as private office. what i am talking about in here is about the human resources and their productivity. however the paycheck package in government office as not good as like private office

I used to work outside of the home for many years. I have worked for several places including the State of Indiana. I am now working from my home because I got tired of being drove nuts in the workplace. I loved every job that I used to work at but the people I worked with, drove me crazy. they were too worried about nosing in my business and spreading gossip than they was working for the company.

I work for a private company... and i am happier here... since i can see that a lot of people who work in government offices are not doing such a good job... they are quite slow... and some would even go out of their way to show that they want money our of the service that they are providing... that is just sad... but there are some government offices who are trying to change this... i hope they succeed...

i wouldn't mind govt because that right there is a guaranteed job for you! set pay don't have to really worry about anything where are a private job where you have to know someone in order to get the job and management isn't really no where up to par with profession!

I have always worked in the private sector and it was always my dream to work for the government but it never did happen for me. I don't know how some people get those jobs just so easily.

hi subha. i've worked in a non-government agency before and now i'm working in a government agency. both have advantages and disadvantages but if i would choose, i will choose the non-government agency. when i was working there, i didn't have to come to the office on a fixed time, unlike in a government office, i should be at work by 8am. and my work then in the non-government agency is purely output oriented. which means, it doesn't matter if i report to the office everyday. what matters is my output after a certain period of time. but in a government office, absences matters a lot. if i absent for a day, that would mean a deduction on my salary. and yes, most government offices are very lenient. not only that. even in the smallest office, even the simplest form of corruption exists.

Me too! I prefer to work in Private sector. Because it was more productive, fast, and effective. In Government sector, the culture is very slow, lazy and less productive. Sometimes, under pressure is helping peoples to be more productive.

I am now in a private company as a trainee. But if i have choice to select then i will prefer the government job.The government job is more stable than the private.Private companies do not give us any assurance about our job.I will not be lazy if i get a government job. Thanks Subha.

I would like to work in a government office, its because of the job stability,as in a government job, there is no tension for loosing a job.And apart from it,I also get much time free for net surfing.

private office is more stable, but it also have some politics on managerial and high position. but if I only knew who is running the goverment office that i like to work on, i give a thought because if that official is a good one then it's a rewarding work because I'm not only working but helping my people.
